Fatal fall from walkway onto "Y" motorway in Llanera causes traffic chaos toward Gijón

A person died Tuesday after falling from a pedestrian walkway over the "Y" motorway in Llanera, causing a major traffic jam toward Gijón. The victim did not hit any vehicle, but the incident alarmed drivers. The death occurred on the Robledo walkway crossing the busy road. Long queues stretched several kilometers toward Gijón and Avilés as Guardia Civil agents managed traffic and secured the area for body recovery. A mobile ICU unit attended but could not save the victim.
