Farage and French National Rally sign Channel migrant return deal

Nigel Farage has signed a deal with France's National Rally party to return Channel migrants to France, a plan Reform UK would implement using the Navy if it wins power. The memorandum states France would "ordinarily accept" intercepted migrants for repatriation, a term Farage called "legalese." The agreement was signed by RN President Jordan Bardella at Reform's conference in Birmingham. RN and Marine Le Pen lead polls ahead of French presidential elections in April 2027, with parliamentary elections due in 2029. The political document could become a legal agreement if both parties gain power.
