Family of Greek Helicopter Pilot Killed in Porto Germeno Fire Takes Legal Action
The mother and sister of the Greek helicopter operator killed in the Porto Germeno fire have initiated legal proceedings, instructing a law firm to take all necessary actions before the Athens prosecutor's office to identify those responsible and ensure punishment. The family has requested that charges be supported against anyone whose actions or omissions contributed to the death of Aristotelis, described as a hero pilot. A formal statement of support for prosecution will be filed in the coming hours, according to the law firm's announcement. The legal action follows the fatal collision of two Bell firefighting helicopters on August 2 in Psatha, which also killed the 46-year-old Danish pilot Rune Kindal. The Greek operator had been battling the massive fire in the Porto Germeno area.
