Fake AI video shows Spanish troops throwing pork at Moroccan migrants in Ceuta

An AI-generated video falsely showing Spanish troops throwing pork at migrants spread online, stoking Islamophobic misinformation during the migrant influx into Spain's Ceuta enclave. The 15-second clip, shared in Hindi-language posts, was traced by AFP to its creator, who confirmed it was fake. Detection tools rated it 99.7 percent likely AI-generated using Seedance 2.0. It appeared after tens of thousands of migrants entered Ceuta. The real crisis began in late July, with mostly Moroccan migrants entering; more than 70 drowned. By August 5, Spain said 70,000 of 72,000 entrants had returned. Some users said India should use the same approach.
