zeit.de (German)

A drone laden with explosives exploded near Bulgaria’s Transbalkan gas pipeline close to the Romanian border, authorities said, causing no injuries or damage. The drone entered Bulgarian airspace at 8:10 a.m. local time and crashed into a sunflower field about 1,000 meters from the pipeline’s compressor station at the Kardam border crossing. It carried a significant amount of explosives, but its type and origin remain unclear. Prime Minister Rumen Radev said neither Bulgaria nor Romania detected the drone and promised stronger border surveillance, citing delayed radar deliveries. The Transbalkan pipeline links Turkey with Ukraine.
