An explosive-laden drone crashed in northeastern Bulgaria near Romania, causing no casualties or material damage, officials said. It exploded 100 meters inside Bulgarian territory, about 1,000 meters from the Trans-Balkan pipeline's compressor station. President Rumen Radev said it came from Romania, contained considerable explosives, and was not detected in either country's airspace. This was the first such incident since Russia's 2022 invasion of Ukraine. Romania recently downed Iranian-made drones used by Russia. Radev, seen as pro-Russian, opposes military aid to Ukraine.
