Explosion hits SBU headquarters in Kyiv; strikes target Ukrainian logistics

An explosion occurred at the main building of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in central Kyiv, near the office of acting head Alexander Poklad, who was unharmed, though part of the structure was destroyed and a fire started. Military correspondent Alexander Kots reported the strike was carried out by a jet-powered drone, possibly a "Geran-4 seeker" or "Geran-5," according to Ukrainian sources. Kots suggested the attack was likely a demonstration of Russian drone capabilities rather than an assassination attempt, noting the SBU had relocated from the building for security reasons. Separately, Russian Foreign Intelligence Service chief Sergei Naryshkin claimed Kyiv is panicking and attempting to destabilize Russia ahead of elections. The Russian Defense Ministry reported continued strikes on Ukrainian logistics and port infrastructure, including in Kyiv, Nikolaev, and Odessa regions.
