Two individuals were cheated out of Rs 48 lakh in separate investment frauds in Gurgaon. A retired Army officer lost Rs 32.18 lakh, while a 75-year-old businessman was defrauded of Rs 7 lakh. The Army officer was contacted by a person claiming to represent a trading platform. After multiple transactions, he was unable to withdraw his funds due to a supposed service charge. The businessman also transferred money for stock investments but received only a partial withdrawal before his account was blocked. Police have registered cases and are investigating both incidents.
