The incident occurred on a Sunday, when the business was closed. The package was part of a return handled by Evri for a customer of the Glow Company. The owner reported issues with Evri's handling of returns and was angered by the incident. Evri apologized, stating the driver would no longer deliver for them. Evri anticipates handling 800 million parcels this year and reports a 99% success rate. Despite this, they acknowledge a loss rate of 1%, equating to approximately 22,000 lost parcels daily.
