Evo 2: An AI model for genome prediction and design across all life

nature.com

A new AI model named Evo 2 can predict the functional impacts of genetic changes and design new DNA sequences. Evo 2 was trained on 9 trillion DNA base pairs from across all life, enabling it to understand complex genomic information. It can predict effects of mutations and generate coherent DNA sequences. The model is now fully open-source, providing researchers with parameters, code, and a dataset to accelerate biological exploration and design.
