EU reduces tariffs on Chinese EVs after feedback from companies

The EU has slightly reduced proposed tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles (EVs) after feedback from affected companies. SAIC Motor Corp's tariff dropped to 37.6%, Geely to 19.9%, and BYD remained at 17.4%. Other Chinese EV makers face a weighted average tariff of 20.8%. The provisional tariffs start on July 4, with definitive duties in November. Tesla may receive a custom duty rate. China and the EU are in talks over the issue.
