Estonia will contribute €11 million to NATO's PURL initiative to bolster Ukraine's air defense and ammunition supply. This funding aims to strengthen Ukraine's battlefield resilience and negotiating position, as stated by Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas. The PURL initiative, launched in 2025, facilitates rapid procurement of critical US-made military equipment for Ukraine. The program, which includes 24 participating countries by late 2025, allows partners to finance prioritized Ukrainian needs, such as Patriot missiles, through a NATO fund.
