Escaped inmate captured in Covington, Georgia

An escaped inmate, Timothy Shane, who fled an Atlanta hospital and allegedly stole a car with a handgun, has been captured. Shane, 52, was apprehended in Covington, Georgia, after authorities warned the public he was armed and dangerous. He had escaped Monday morning and was later seen on video stealing a vehicle. The inmate was originally booked on charges including felony firearm possession and methamphetamine possession. No injuries were reported during his arrest.
