EPFO members must link UAN with Aadhaar by today to access ELI scheme benefits

EPFO members must activate their Universal Account Number (UAN) and link it with Aadhaar and their bank account by today, January 15, 2025, to access benefits under the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) scheme. The ELI scheme, introduced in the Union Budget 2024-25, aims to streamline subsidy payments through Aadhaar and ensure biometric authentication. Failure to complete the linking process will prevent members from receiving these benefits. Employers are required to assist employees in activating their UAN using Aadhaar-based OTP by November 30, 2024. This activation allows employees to access EPFO services online, improving efficiency and reducing the need for in-person visits.
