Environment Baba arrives in Prayagraj for Maha Kumbh urging tree planting initiative
Mahamandelshwar Avdhoot Baba, known as "Environment Baba," arrived in Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh, which starts on Monday and ends on February 26. He encourages everyone to plant two trees, emphasizing their importance in Hindu rituals and for oxygen. Baba has performed 82 rituals and claims his followers from 30 countries aim to plant over one crore trees. He previously led tree-planting efforts across 27 states during a march in 2016. Another saint, Baba Digambar Ajay Giri, also known as "Rudraksh Baba," has reached Prayagraj. He highlights the significance of Rudraksh beads in Hinduism and wears 11,000 of them, claiming it connects him to Lord Shiva.
