Enric Auquer on 'Cronos': Some Mossos agents believe in an ethical police force

Actor Enric Auquer, star of the film 'Cronos' about the 2017 Barcelona attacks, said he has always opposed the Mossos d'Esquadra but discovered many agents believe in an ethical police force and know how to do their job properly. Auquer plays Inspector Jordi Rodón, who organized the rapid response to the Rambla attack, and said he struggled to legitimize the role. He was surprised to find someone who believes in the rule of law, applies protocols, and maintains ethical priorities amid chaos. The film, directed by Fernando González Molina, reconstructs the attacks from a police perspective, including the Alcanar explosion, Cambrils attack, and the killing of Younes Abouyaaqoub. Screenwriter Roberto Marini said the attacks remain an unhealed wound, with society rushing to move on too quickly.
