English-language adaptation of Israeli comedy-drama in development by Paper Entertainment

An English-language version of the Israeli comedy-drama "Johnny and the Knights of the Galilee" is in development, titled "Honey Boys." Paper Entertainment, known for producing "Tehran," is leading the project. The series will follow Ben, a struggling actor in London, who returns to Cornwall after his father's death. He and his friends start an escort business to support the family farm, leading to unexpected insights about love and sexuality. The original series was created by Dani Rosenberg and Tom Shoval, while the French adaptation, "Escort Boys," has already been successful. The new English version aims to reach an international audience.
