Endangered Irrawaddy dolphin found dead on Odisha coast

An endangered Irrawaddy dolphin carcass was found on Odisha's Pentha beach. Forest officials recovered the approximately 6-foot-long dolphin, suspected to have died at sea days prior, within the Gahirmatha Marine Sanctuary. The Irrawaddy dolphin is protected under the Wildlife Protection Act and listed as endangered by the IUCN.
