Elmano leads Ceará governor race in both rounds, poll shows

Incumbent Ceará Governor Elmano de Freitas (PT) leads re-election polls in both first and second round scenarios, according to a Real Time Big Data survey released Saturday. In the first round, Freitas has 48% support versus 41% for Ciro Gomes (PSDB), a gap outside the poll's two-point margin of error. Other candidates trail with 1% or less. The survey polled 1,600 voters from September 21-24 with a 95% confidence interval. It was commissioned by Record and registered with the TSE under protocol CE-00688/2026.
