Elizabeth line staff plan strikes on New Year’s Eve affecting London services

London train staff on the Elizabeth line will strike on New Year’s Eve, affecting service during a busy travel period. Control room workers will walk out for 24 hours starting at 9 PM, leading to potential delays. In addition to the strike on December 31, staff will not work overtime or on rest days from December 5 to 18. All stations on the Elizabeth line, from Abbey Wood to Heathrow Terminal 4, may experience delays. Trains will still operate, but passengers should expect disruptions. The Elizabeth line is also set to be managed by a new Japanese operator in the near future.
