Egypt spent 215B pounds, developed 1255 health projects
Egypt's Health Minister announced the completion of 1,255 health projects across the country, costing 215 billion Egyptian pounds, over the past eight years. The projects, encompassing all governorates, included upgrading existing medical facilities and constructing new ones, such as the new Tanta General Hospital. The minister highlighted the expansion of healthcare services, including a new cancer center. The government is also accelerating the expansion of the universal health insurance system, already active in six governorates, with plans for further expansion in the upcoming fiscal year.
