EE expands 5G network to 16 new towns in the UK by year-end

EE is expanding its 5G network in the UK, adding 16 new towns to receive improved service by the end of the year. This upgrade aims to enhance mobile signal reliability and performance in areas with high demand. The new locations include Ashton-under-Lyne, Coventry, and Nottingham, joining 15 previously upgraded towns. Customers on EE's Full Works and All Rounder plans will have access to these enhancements, provided they use compatible devices. EE's 5G standalone technology connects directly to a pure 5G network, improving experiences for video calls, streaming, and gaming. However, only select smartphones, like the iPhone 15 and Samsung Galaxy S23, can utilize this new service.
