ED attaches ₹2.85 crore in assets from former UPPCL chief over disproportionate income

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached properties worth ₹2.85 crore belonging to Ayodhya Prasad Mishra, the former managing director of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL), in a case involving disproportionate assets. Mishra allegedly earned 163.23% more than his legitimate income during the investigation period. The attached assets include a residential flat, a commercial shop in Lucknow, and agricultural land in Gonda, linked to him and his family. The ED's investigation began after an FIR was filed by UP Vigilance, alleging Mishra spent ₹5.08 crore on assets while earning only ₹1.92 crore from legitimate sources. Further investigations are ongoing.
