Easton Cowan reflects on rookie year, eyes Leafs roster spot at training camp

Toronto Maple Leafs rookie Easton Cowan hosted a meet-and-greet in Strathroy, Ont., drawing a large crowd and showcasing his Calder Cup trophy and London Knights championship rings. Cowan scored 11 goals in 66 NHL games before being loaned to the Toronto Marlies, where he added eight goals and helped win the Calder Cup. He called the experience a dream come true. Cowan now returns to Toronto for training camp starting September 16, aiming to secure a second- or third-line winger spot. He ultimately hopes to bring the Stanley Cup to his hometown.
