EACOP commits 2.8bn/- (US$1.06m) to build two health centres and expand emergency care in Tanga and Geita regions, improving medical access for thousands. Signed in Dar es Salaam, the agreements allocate $350,000 for Bukombe Health Centre, $350,000 for Chongoleani Ward centre, and $363,000 for Bombo hospital's Emergency Medicine Department. This is part of EACOP's social investment programme along the pipeline corridor. The company said the centres will improve maternal, child and emergency care. Bombo, established in 1901, treated about 24,775 emergency patients in 2024 but faces infrastructure constraints.
