Dynamic Lyrics app brings karaoke-style song lyrics to Apple CarPlay

A little-known third-party app called Dynamic Lyrics now allows Apple CarPlay users to display time-synced song lyrics on their vehicle's infotainment screen, enabling passengers to sing along to tracks from Apple Music or Spotify. The feature costs a one-time fee of $9.99 and requires iOS 26. The app connects to a user's preferred streaming service and shows lyrics that scroll in real time, with options for translated text when listening to foreign-language songs. Spotify users must choose between a simple Default authorization or a more complex Custom setup requiring a Client ID, while Apple Music access is straightforward. After downloading, users can customize the widget with themes like white, black, or album-cover-based gradients, plus vinyl or picture cover styles. To activate it, drivers navigate to Settings > General > CarPlay, select their car, and add the Lyrics widget from the Widgets menu, though the article advises against viewing lyrics while driving.
