Dutch workers struggle to disconnect during holidays, with many remaining reachable and bringing work along

A significant portion of Dutch employees feel pressured to remain reachable during vacation, with 22% experiencing this. Support is growing for a legal right to disconnect. Research indicates that over a quarter of Dutch workers engage in work while on holiday, and one in ten brings a laptop. Younger employees and men report feeling this pressure more frequently. France already has a legal right to disconnect. A majority of Dutch workers believe employees should be legally protected from out-of-hours contact.
