dna.fr (French)

On August 6, Bas-Rhin prefecture raised several rivers and groundwater to reinforced alert and crisis levels due to persistent drought, worsening hydrological conditions. Rainfall from July 31 to August 2 was sparse and no significant rain is expected, so stream and aquifer deterioration will continue. The Lauter-Sauer-Moder-Zorn basin moved to reinforced alert; Ried Centre Alsace sector 2 to crisis. Sector 3 of Ried Centre Alsace also moved to reinforced alert. Bruche-Mossig-Ehn-Andlau-Giessen-Liepvrette remains on reinforced alert, Sarre on alert, and Rhine on reinforced alert, with other sectors already in crisis.
