Drone strike hits Kyiv SBU office of acting chief Poklad

A Russian drone struck the office of Ukraine's acting Security Service chief, Alexander Poklad, in Kyiv, causing a fire. Poklad was not in his office at the time of the strike. The drone hit the SBU building on Vladimirskaya Street in central Kyiv, near the Golden Gate metro station. President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the strike, stating the drone was aimed directly at the SBU chief's office, and ordered Poklad to prepare a response. The explosion occurred around 15:30, with thick smoke rising from the area. Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported a fire in the Shevchenko district caused by the drone hitting the roof of a non-residential building.
