Drone pilots saved five fawns from a mower by using infrared cameras to locate them in tall grass. The fawns were hidden and remained still, making them vulnerable to farm machinery. Volunteers flew drones at dawn to detect their body heat before the grass was cut. The rescued fawns were temporarily housed in boxes and reunited with their mother after the mowing was completed.
