Drone explodes in Bulgarian sunflower field after crossing from Romania

yle.fi (Swedish)

An unidentified drone entering from Romania crashed and exploded in a Bulgarian sunflower field on Saturday, near the border, without causing injuries or infrastructure damage. The drone landed one kilometer from the Trans-Balkan oil pipeline between Ukraine and Turkey and near the Black Sea, where Ukraine and Russia have recently intensified attacks. Bulgaria's defense minister said the blast suggested a significant amount of explosives. It went undetected and unregistered in both countries' airspace. Type, origin, and civil/military status remain unclear; officials say such drones are hard to spot due to low flight.
