Doncaster Council offers cash support of up to £225 for low-income households
The City of Doncaster Council is providing cost of living support to low-income households, offering cash payments up to £225. This assistance is part of the government's Household Support Fund scheme, aimed at helping residents facing financial difficulties. Eligible households can receive varying amounts based on their circumstances. Payments include £75 for working-age households without children, £150 for those with one or two children, and £225 for families with three or more children. Pensioner households can claim £50 or £150, depending on their Pension Credit status. Automatic payments were made on December 13, 2024, for those who previously qualified. New applicants can apply online until February 28, 2025, or until funds run out. Only residents of Doncaster can apply, but other local councils offer similar support schemes.
