Diver injured by boat near Rottnest Island as safety flags ignored

Damien Mcateer suffered a head wound needing stitches after the incident on Saturday. Mcateer was surfacing near his boat when he was hit. Other divers from his group provided first aid and reported the incident to police. The boat did not stop, and its operator may not have realized they hit someone.
