District leader orders industries to boost security
The Deputy Commissioner of the district has instructed major industries to enhance and continuously monitor their security measures due to the current situation. This directive, issued during a disaster monitoring committee meeting, specifically targets oil and gas industries, the port, and the airport, mandating immediate safety drills in collaboration with local authorities. The City Police Commissioner is also conducting random preparedness checks. The Chief Minister held a safety review meeting via video conference, and the police have increased security with additional checkpoints, night patrols, and restrictions on drone usage, while also combating the spread of misinformation.
