Mailed HPV self-sampling kits effectively increase cervical cancer screening rates and are cost-effective, according to a new study. The research, published in JAMA Network Open, examined over 31,000 women and found the kits beneficial for both adherent and overdue patients. This study is the first to analyze the cost-effectiveness of such mailing strategies across different screening histories in a U.S. health system.
