Digital health insurance card now available nationwide on smartphones

The digital Carte Vitale is now available nationwide on smartphones for all insured individuals. The application, downloadable on iOS and Android, allows users to store their health insurance card digitally. This rollout follows a gradual testing period and aims to adapt to digital usage, with 1.8 million users already activating it in 2024. While the physical card remains necessary, the digital version offers convenience, allows tracking of health expenses, and will eventually integrate complementary health insurance and access to Mon Espace Santé.
