Dhian Singh Mand criticizes SAD and SGPC's interference

Bhai Dhian Singh Mand, acting as a parallel jathedar of Akal Takht, criticized the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) for interfering in the jathedar's role. He claims this undermines Sikh traditions and principles. Mand expressed discontent over the recent appointment of Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj as acting jathedar. He stated that political manipulation has turned jathedars into tools for resolving personal disputes rather than serving the Sikh community's interests. Jarnail Singh Sakhira, a leader of the 2015 Sarbat Khalsa, supported Mand's views. He emphasized that the jathedar should act as a unifying figure for the Sikh community, rejecting the authority of SGPC-appointed jathedars.
