Dhanbad MP calls for direct train services to major cities in India

Dhanbad MP Dulu Mahto has called for direct train services from Dhanbad to major cities like New Delhi, Bengaluru, Vellore, and Hyderabad. This request was made in Parliament to improve passenger services in the region. Residents support the proposal, highlighting the need for a direct train to Mata Vaishno Devi, a popular pilgrimage site. Many locals travel to Vellore for medical care, and direct trains would save time and money. Mahto emphasized that Dhanbad's railway division generates significant freight revenue but lacks adequate passenger services. The proposed trains aim to benefit local communities, including migrant workers and tribal populations.
