Derry's Jacob Hauser wins medal at state diving championships
Jacob Hauser from Derry secured eighth place at the PIAA Class 2A boys diving championships, earning a medal in his final state meet. He scored 108.70 points in the finals, moving up from ninth place. Hauser had been close to medal contention throughout the competition, finishing just 1.20 points away from eighth after the first round. He previously placed fifth last year and has medaled twice in his four years at states. Other WPIAL divers included Indiana's Matthew Blystone, who finished 11th, Beaver's Isaac Burtt in 13th, and Indiana's Connor Fleming in 14th.
