Dera Sacha Sauda chief claims he invented T20 cricket and trained Virat Kohli
Gurmeet Ram Rahim, the chief of Dera Sacha Sauda, claimed he invented T20 cricket in 1990 during an online discourse. He also stated he trained cricketer Virat Kohli and built a stadium in Sirsa for the format. Ram Rahim's assertion contrasts with the established history of T20 cricket, which was officially introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board in 2003. The format gained popularity globally, including in India by 2007. He also discussed a snake-catching device he created during construction at his site, claiming it was designed to protect both the catcher and the snake. Ram Rahim is currently serving a prison sentence for rape and murder.
