DENR tests air and water quality in Obando, Bulacan, following Navotas landfill fire

DENR is testing air and water quality in Obando, Bulacan, after smoke from a Navotas landfill fire affected residents. The tests were requested by Obando Mayor Leonardo Valeda to ensure resident safety. Hundreds of residents were evacuated due to hazardous smoke believed to be from burning methane gas. The landfill fire began Friday night, less than a kilometer from Salambao village. The DENR findings will guide protective measures for residents.
