Denisse Miralles leads the Ministry of Economy and Finance under President José Jerí

Denisse Miralles has been appointed Minister of Economy and Finance under President José Jerí. Her appointment comes as the government faces the urgent task of defining the 2026 budget amidst legislative debate on increasing public spending. Miralles brings over 22 years of public sector experience, specializing in tax policy and public-private investments. Miralles previously led ProInversión's Decentralized Investments Directorate, significantly boosting the "Obras por Impuestos" (OXI) mechanism, which allows companies to fund infrastructure projects in exchange for tax credits.
