Delta Gold Card introduces new benefits and fee structure for travelers

The Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card now has an introductory annual fee of $0 for the first year, increasing to $150 afterward. This is a change from the previous fee of $99. Cardholders receive benefits like a free checked bag and priority boarding. New cardholders can earn 50,000 bonus miles after spending $2,000 in the first six months. The card offers 2X miles on Delta purchases, U.S. supermarkets, and restaurants, and 1X miles on other purchases. Additional perks include a 15% discount on award flights and a $200 flight credit after spending $10,000 in a year. The card also provides 20% back on eligible in-flight purchases and no foreign transaction fees.
