Delhi University prioritizes permanent faculty appointments
Delhi University's Vice-Chancellor instructed college principals on Saturday to prioritize permanent faculty appointments over guest faculty hires. This aims to stabilize staffing and ensure long-term academic continuity. The directive mandates immediate advertisement of vacant positions and consideration of upcoming faculty retirements. Discussions with the Delhi government are underway to facilitate appointments in government-funded colleges, with positive outcomes expected. Additionally, the Academic Council approved syllabus updates for the first four-year undergraduate program batch and new skill enhancement courses. Certificate courses in various languages were also approved.
