Deep Roots Winery relocates from RiNo to Golden, marking second departure this month

Deep Roots Winery is relocating from RiNo to Golden, marking the second winery to leave the area this month. The current location at 2875 Blake St. will close on December 15, with plans to reopen in mid-January at 1375 Catamount Drive. The new Golden location will focus solely on wine, hard ciders, and lemonade wines, eliminating food service. The owners aim to reduce costs and improve revenue after experiencing declines over the past two years. They signed a three-year lease with significantly lower rent. Deep Roots previously opened in 2017 and expanded to RiNo in 2021. The owners faced challenges during the pandemic and have decided to streamline operations, reducing staff and focusing on distribution.
