Deep earthquake off Naples felt across Italy causes train delays

A magnitude 5.9 earthquake occurred off the coast of Naples at a depth of 414 km, felt across Italy. Despite its magnitude, the earthquake caused no damage or panic due to its extreme depth. Over 3,000 reports were received by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology. Train services experienced delays of up to 100 minutes for safety checks. The deep seismic event is unrelated to local volcanic activity.
