Deaf pit bull Ghost adopted after viral photo success

A deaf pit bull named Betsy has found a loving home after her story gained attention online. Once neglected and injured, she spent 73 days at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. Staff took a basic photo of her during her intake, but it did not show her true spirit. Professional photographer Adam Goldberg arranged a special photo session for Betsy, who was later renamed Ghost. He wanted to capture her better side. With treats, he coaxed her out, and the images showed her happy transformation. The before-and-after photos went viral on social media. Christian Pesantes saw the photos and felt compelled to adopt Ghost. He quickly visited the shelter, and upon meeting her, he decided to take her home. During a two-week trial, they saw how gentle and loving she was, especially with their toddler and three cats. They officially adopted her, drawn to her beautiful appearance and sweet personality. Pesantes initially worried about bringing an adult dog home, but he now calls Ghost the perfect addition to their family. He is grateful for the photographer's role in bringing them together. Goldberg’s program has helped many shelter animals find homes through professional photos, emphasizing the impact of a good image.
