Davao Oriental launches first shared service facility

The Department of Trade and Industry has opened Davao Oriental's first shared service facility, named "MADE in DAVLAB." This facility, located in Mati City, was created in partnership with Davao Oriental State University. MADE in DAVLAB aims to support creativity, prototyping, and product innovation for micro, small, and medium enterprises, students, and industry partners. It represents collaboration among various sectors, including government and academia. Since 2013, the DTI has launched 294 shared service facilities in the Davao region. In 2024, P36 million was allocated for regional initiatives, with P10 million designated for the MADE in DAVLAB project.
