Nearly 900,000 users of ConnectOnCall may have had their personal and health information stolen in a data breach. The breach occurred between February 16 and May 12, 2023, affecting patients who used the service for after-hours doctor calls. Phreesia, the software firm behind ConnectOnCall, has notified 914,138 individuals about the exposure of sensitive data, including medical records and phone numbers. The service is currently offline while the company investigates the breach and works with law enforcement. Phreesia is offering identity and credit monitoring services to those whose social security numbers were exposed. There is no evidence of misuse of the data so far, but the company advises affected individuals to stay alert for potential identity theft.
