Dallas adjusts timeline for $160 million Klyde Warren Park expansion

Dallas plans to begin construction on the second phase of Klyde Warren Park by 2027. This phase includes a new 1.5-acre park and a deck, costing a total of $160 million. The City Center Tax Increment Financing District recently approved extended deadlines for the project. Construction must start by the end of 2027, with the deck completed by 2029 and the park opening by 2031. The Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation has raised $80 million for the deck and aims to secure an additional $20 million. Rising costs and project complexities have delayed progress since the initial approval in 2021.
